Finis Terrae – The man in search of knowledge, adventure and discovery is one of the basic archetypes of our Western culture. The ancient legends of Odysseus, Aeneas, Jason and the Argonauts, the Knights of the Round Table, Marco Polo, Columbus... Men travelled into the unknown, attracted by a path that ended out of sight, by the sea, the discovery of the new, the realisation of dreams. But what about women? This is a story of travel from another perspective. Through the eyes of those who stayed at home. Street theatre involving movement, puppets and art, the montage of historical texts, physical theatre, live music, rhythm and the poetry of art.

The story of a world abandoned by men is forever reopened by the desperate calling of their names. The freely-unfolding pictures contain various melodies, motifs and snippets of old stories. The rhythm and intonation of the words changes into a forceful means of expression. The texts, delivered in Italian, French and Latin have their own onomatopoeia, functioning as mysterious incantations, bizarre refrains expressing something ungraspable.
