I WILL EMERGE FROM THE FOREST, STRAIGHTEN MY BACKBONE, AND IT SHALL BECOME MY SWORD. This dance production for four dancers was created as a joint project of Czech and Belarusian artists. It is based on a drama by a female Belarusian playwright who goes by the pseudonym noname67. The play, written in the framework of the artist-in-residence program organised by the Drama Company of the National Theatre in Prague for Belarusian artists, provides a poignant testimony of the traumatic journey towards female emancipation under totalitarian practices. The story also reflects the sense of connection not only to peers, but also to our ancestors, traditions, and the homeland. The production is based on the text as well as direct personal experience of Belarusian artists who have witnessed the suppression of a protest movement and the subsequent dismantling of cultural life in Belarus.

PULSAR It is a platform that focuses on contemporary dance productions following a clearly defined dramaturgy. Pulsar aims to communicate socially relevant topics through art by means of fresh dance techniques. In addition to its core activity, Pulsar develops new artistic and art-professional forms aimed to explore new possible ways and purposes of art. These forms enable them to closely co-operate with the audience in the creative process. They also host artists invited to create their original works together with Pulsar. In the past season, Pulsar collaborated with aspiring dancers and provided them with artistic and production support necessary for finding their unique artistic expression and broadening their social and philosophical perspectives.
